Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with hospital, state, professional, and federal regulations.

  • Requires current state license, CPR certification, and preferred ACLS certification.
  • Typically has 2 years hospital experience in respiratory therapy.
  • Uses general office equipment and medical devices, with physical ability to lift, push, pull, stand, walk, and perform patient care tasks.
  • Must communicate effectively, analyze situations, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Works in a temperature-controlled, indoor environment with occasional outdoor exposure, potential contact with blood/body fluids, and may work under stress.
  • Adheres to attendance, dress code, and may work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, or disaster response.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
