Job Description
This position involves operating ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards.
Provides patient care across all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
Requires graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent experience.
No prior experience required; however, one year is preferred.
Must obtain ARDMS registration within six months of hire; vascular sonographers should also become registered or certified as RVT/RVS within the same timeframe.
Breast ultrasound licensure can be met through ARRT registration.
Requires BLS certification.
Additional desirable qualifications include registration with ARDMS and/or RVS/RVT.
