Job Description
Seeking a travel RN for a 13-week CVICU position in Falls Church, VA, starting ASAP. The role involves providing specialized care to critically ill cardiac patients recovering from surgery or with severe cardiac conditions.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and manage post-operative and invasive monitoring devices.
Administer complex medications, respond to emergencies, and provide life-saving interventions.
Collaborate with healthcare team members and communicate with patients’ families.
Educate patients and families on recovery, medications, and lifestyle changes.
Accurately document care activities and ensure infection control and safety protocols.
Respond effectively to cardiovascular emergencies, utilizing advanced equipment.
Potentially serve as a preceptor or mentor and participate in ongoing professional development.
The position involves 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours/week, with a pay package based on shifts and a tax-free stipend.
