Job Description
The Therapy Team Leader supports daily operations of a therapy department, requiring supervisory and communication skills, clinical competency, and delegation abilities.
Provides 80-90% patient care within a licensed discipline, overseeing staff, staffing, scheduling, training, and interdepartmental communication.
Fosters a positive environment aligned with the hospital’s mission, promotes staff development, and ensures continuous improvement in clinical performance.
Qualifications include current state licensure (PT, OT, SLP), BLS certification (or within 30 days), with SLPs needing CCC certification.
Minimum three years of discipline-specific or leadership experience, with at least two years clinical.
Requires physical ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds and adapt to indoor/outdoor environments, sometimes under stress.
Skills include effective communication, critical thinking, time management, independence, and adherence to policies.
