Job Description
The Therapy Team Leader supports daily operations of a therapy team or discipline, requiring strong supervisory and communication skills, and expertise in evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment within their licensed discipline.
Delegates and supervises therapists, assistants, and technicians; manages staffing, scheduling, training, and communication to ensure adequate patient coverage.
Maintains ongoing interdepartmental communication to meet patient, staff, and hospital needs.
Provides 80-90% patient care in their licensed discipline.
Fosters a positive environment aligned with hospital mission, promotes staff development, performance accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications include current state licensure, BLS certification, minimum three years of clinical or leadership experience, and relevant certifications.
Requires physical ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds, and proficiency in communication, critical thinking, and independent work.
Environmental conditions are indoor, with occasional outdoor exposure, and potential contact with blood and body fluids.
Adheres to attendance, dress code, licensure, and may work varied shifts, including holidays or disaster response, supporting a diverse, inclusive work environment.
