Job Description
The Therapy Team Leader supports daily operations of a therapy team or discipline, requiring supervisory, communication, and clinical skills.
Responsibilities include delegating tasks, supervising staff, staffing, scheduling, training, and ensuring adequate coverage for patient care.
Maintains open communication with hospital departments to meet patient and staff needs.
Provides 80-90% patient care within a licensed discipline.
Promotes a positive environment aligned with the hospital’s mission, overseeing departmental performance, staff development, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications include a current state license (Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapist), BLS certification, and minimum three years of relevant experience.
Preferred certifications include clinical ladder or specialty credentials.
Requires physical ability to lift and move objects and patients, strong communication, critical thinking, and independent work skills.
Must adhere to safety, attendance, dress code, and cultural diversity standards.
May work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and disaster response as needed.
