Job Description
Surgical Technologist assists in surgical procedures under supervision of surgeons or nurses.
Requires graduation from an accredited program and CPR certification with 0-2 years of experience.
Prepares operating room, equipment, and patient for surgery, including sterilizing instruments and positioning patients.
Passes instruments, maintains sterile fields, and helps with specimen handling.
Operates sterilizers, lights, and suction machines; supports post-operative transfer and cleanup.
Must stand long periods, lift patients, and concentrate for extended times.
Demonstrates knowledge of patient care, growth and development, and effective communication.
Works in a busy, clean environment with possible evening/weekend hours; exposed to communicable diseases.
