Schuylkill Center is currently looking for a Full Time Director of Staff Development Registered Nurse (RN) to assist with leading our nursing team! Requirements of the Staff Development Registered Nurse (RN):

Must possess, as a minimum, an Associates Degree, or BS preferred and completed nursing school
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in this state.
Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related healthcare facility.
Must have experience in supervising, managerial and principles, practice of teaching, etc.
Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

Responsibilities of the Staff Development Registered Nurse (RN):

Communicate with department directors to determine departmental training needs
Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program that orients the new employee to our infection prevention and control and employee health programs.
Provide leadership training that includes the administrative and supervisory principles essential for Nurse Supervisors/Charge Nurses.
Participate in planning, conducting, and scheduling in-service training classes for CNAs/GNAs and any other nursing personnel that provide instructions on “how to do the job,” and ensure a well-educated nursing service department.
Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.
Assist in training department personnel in identifying tasks that involve potential exposure to blood or body fluids.
