Position involves providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients and families during 12-hour night shifts (7 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend, with no on-call requirement.
Requires a nursing degree, 2 years clinical experience, California RN license, and BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include 2 years in a psych unit and a BSN.
Responsibilities include delegating tasks, documenting care, building therapeutic relationships, supporting team performance, patient education, coordinating care, and utilizing the nursing process with critical thinking.
Must demonstrate competency in complex patient care, prioritize workload, recognize complications, and contribute to team development.
Pay ranges from $56.58 to $83.76 per hour, based on experience and collective bargaining agreements.
Knowledge of safety standards, patient advocacy, and effective communication is essential.
