The Wound Ostomy Continence (WOC) Nurse is an expert in caring for patients with wound, ostomy, and continence needs, supporting patient care, education, and quality improvement.
Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, analyzing data for diagnoses, setting individualized outcomes, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
Provides clinical support, reviews policies, and assists with resource allocation and cost considerations.
Qualifications include graduation from an accredited WOC Nursing program, current RN license, 3-5 years of nursing experience, and plans to obtain tri-certification within a year.
Bachelorâs degree required; Masterâs preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential.
