Job Description
The Wound Ostomy Continence (WOC) Nurse is an expert in caring for patients with wound, ostomy, and continence needs, supporting clinical care, education, and consultation.
Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, diagnosing issues, setting individualized outcomes, and contributing to quality improvement efforts.
Collaborates with the healthcare team to implement policies, evaluate resources, and improve care quality.
Assists patients in accessing appropriate services and considers resource impacts on safety and outcomes.
Requires graduation from an accredited WOC Nursing program, current RN licensure, 3-5 years of nursing experience, and plans for certification within a year.
Bachelorâs degree in nursing is required; Masterâs preferred.
Must communicate effectively, foster teamwork, and demonstrate responsibility and ongoing professional development.
