Job Description
The Wound Ostomy Continence (WOC) Nurse provides expert clinical care, education, and consultation for patients with wound, ostomy, and continence needs.
Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, and developing individualized care plans to improve patient outcomes.
Collaborates with healthcare teams to implement quality improvements, review policies, and optimize resource use.
Supports patient access to appropriate services and evaluates care effectiveness.
Requires graduation from an accredited WOC Nursing Program, NYS RN license, 3-5 years nursing experience, and plan for tri-certification within a year.
Bachelorâs degree in nursing required; masterâs preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are essential.
