Job Description

The Nurse Supervisor oversees clinical operations in the AIDS Program department, managing staff, clinic workflow, patient triage, and quality initiatives.

  • Responsible for patient flow, point-of-care testing, staff supervision, and maintaining professionalism.
  • Reviews processes to optimize workflow and ensure proper billing.
  • Motivates staff to work effectively within their licensure and collaborates with the Practice Coordinator.
  • Participates in management meetings, resolves issues, and ensures confidentiality.
  • Manages supplies and medication ordering cost-effectively.
  • Ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards and weekly tracer submissions.
  • Requires an Associate’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), NYS RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
