Job Description
The RN in the Intensive Care Unit is responsible for providing direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, and documentation.
Acts as a patient advocate, ensuring privacy, dignity, and emotional support.
Collaborates with healthcare team for coordinated care, including transfers and discharges.
Assesses patient condition, plans individualized care, and evaluates responses to interventions.
Supports quality improvement initiatives and maintains a holistic, patient-centered environment.
Provides patient and family education tailored to their needs.
Participates in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications include an active Tennessee RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Skills required are critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work under stress with minimal supervision.
