Job Description
The RN in the ICU provides direct patient care, including medication administration, clinical treatments, and documentation.
Assists with activities of daily living and patient education tailored to age, culture, and needs.
Collaborates with the healthcare team for patient transfer, discharge, and psychosocial support.
Evaluates patient responses, monitors changes, and takes appropriate actions.
Participates in quality improvement and promotes a supportive, holistic care environment.
Serves as a patient and family advocate, ensuring privacy, dignity, and informed care.
Develops individualized care and education plans, assessing learning needs and effectiveness.
Supports professional growth through ongoing education.
Qualifications include a current RN license in Tennessee, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently in a stressful environment.
