Job Description
The ICU Registered Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care, utilizing the nursing process for planning and implementation, including patient and family education and care continuity.
Effective communication with physicians, peers, patients, and families is essential.
Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure quality care delivery.
Minimum education required is graduation from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor’s degree (BSN) is preferred.
At least six months of recent professional nursing experience is required.
Demonstrates proficiency in at least 50% of Level II skills.
Certifications needed include current BLS/CPR (within 30 days of hire), ACLS and PALS (within 1 year), and Basic Arrhythmia Class completion within 1 year.
Must hold a current RN license to practice in the state.
