Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care, utilizing the nursing process for planning and implementation, including patient and family education and care continuity.

  • Effective communication with physicians, peers, patients, and families is essential.
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure quality care delivery.
  • Minimum education required is graduation from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor’s degree (BSN) is preferred.
  • At least six months of recent professional nursing experience is required.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in at least 50% of Level II skills.
  • Certifications needed include current BLS/CPR (within 30 days of hire), ACLS and PALS (within 1 year), and Basic Arrhythmia Class completion within 1 year.
  • Must hold a current RN license to practice in the state.
