Job Description
This RN position in the VIR Nursing unit offers an opportunity for experienced nurses to provide peri-procedural care for inpatients and outpatients undergoing Interventional Radiology procedures.
Responsibilities include administering sedation, monitoring hemodynamics, managing critical care patients, and assisting with phase 1 anesthesia recovery for both pediatric and adult patients.
Candidates should have 1-3 years of RN experience, an Associate Degree, current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS and ACLS. Pediatric experience and critical care background are preferred.
Essential duties involve implementing physician orders, administering medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, assessing patient needs, and collaborating on care plans.
Strong communication, organizational, and clinical judgment skills are required to ensure quality patient care.
The role may involve handling sensitive information, with strict adherence to privacy and security policies.
