Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Emergency Department provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting care.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests; assesses patient needs and responses; applies sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses; administers medications; collaborates with the team to create a Plan of Care.
Supervises ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality improvement.
This role may involve handling sensitive patient information, requiring adherence to privacy and security policies.
