Job Description

The RN Float position involves providing adaptable nursing coverage across various units, ensuring seamless patient care and smooth transitions.

  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and support staff to deliver patient-centered care and effective communication.

  • Performs thorough patient assessments, developing tailored care plans based on individual diagnoses and histories.

  • Responds promptly to emergencies and critical situations to stabilize patients.

  • Assists with patient placements, admissions, and transfers, managing bed capacity and patient flow.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), at least 1 year of RN experience (clinical specialty preferred), and licensure in North Carolina or a Compact state. Certifications required are BLS (CPR), with ACLS for critical care areas.
