Job Description
The Education Specialist leads the design and development of systems to support staff involvement in practice, research, education, and quality decisions, fostering a collaborative environment where nurses practice at their highest licensure level.
Responsibilities include participating in the creation and implementation of orientation and continuing education programs, evaluating educational outcomes, and linking them to quality and patient care outcomes.
Collaborates with clinical leaders and educators to promote competency, ongoing learning, and safe, high-quality patient care.
Qualifications include a BSN (required), MSN/DNP (preferred), recent acute care, emergency, or critical care experience, and certifications such as BLS (required), ACLS, PALS, and instructor credentials (preferred).
The role may involve access to sensitive information, requiring adherence to privacy and security standards.
