Job Description
The Education Specialist supports staff development through orientation, continuing education, and program design.
Collaborates with hospital, community, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and effective service delivery.
Interprets laws, policies, and standards related to healthcare and social services.
Develops policies, procedures, and standards of care, with expertise in regulations like CMS, DOH, OMH, and OPWDD.
Builds internal and external relationships, promotes conflict resolution, and facilitates communication.
Qualifications include a Masterâs degree (preferably in Nursing or Social Work), 3-5 years of clinical experience, BLS certification, and strong leadership skills.
Responsible for leading educational activities to enhance staff practice, research, and quality outcomes, with a focus on pediatric nursing preferred but not required.
