Job Description
The Clinical Support Nurse (CSN) in the Children’s Hospital provides on-site expert consultation, staff education, and direct patient care during night shifts.
Demonstrates advanced specialty nursing skills and manages complex patient and system issues.
Assists staff in developing clinical skills and problem-solving in complex care situations.
Teaches and supports staff in initiating access and managing intravascular therapy.
Communicates effectively to reach consensus with the care team for optimal patient outcomes.
Requires a current NYS Nursing license, preferably a BSN, with pediatric/critical care certification and at least 3 years of recent pediatric acute care experience.
The role may involve handling sensitive information, requiring adherence to confidentiality and privacy policies.
