Job Description
The Clinical Support Nurse (CSN) in the Children’s Hospital provides on-site expert consultation and leadership to Patient Care Services Staff, supporting staff development and patient care skills.
Teaches and supports staff in complex patient care skills, including vascular access and intravascular therapy management.
Manages complex patient and system issues, offering direct patient care in selected situations.
Communicates effectively with the care team to reach consensus for patient best interests.
Demonstrates advanced specialty nursing knowledge, problem-solving, and clinical skills.
Requires NYS Nursing license, BSN preferred, with pediatric/critical care certification and at least 3 years of recent pediatric acute care experience.
The role may involve handling sensitive information, adhering to confidentiality standards.
