Job Description

This RN position in the Thoracic Surgery outpatient division involves providing patient-centered care, education, and advocacy in a collaborative team environment.

  • Supports self-management by assessing needs, enhancing health literacy, and delivering age-appropriate care.

  • Coordinates care transitions, develops individualized care plans, and communicates across settings to ensure continuity and follow-up.

  • Performs telephone triage, patient education, and documentation, including diagnostic tests and medication management.

  • Collaborates with healthcare teams, supports regulatory compliance, and participates in quality improvement efforts.

  • Qualifications include RN licensure, CPR certification, and preferably experience in ambulatory care; strong communication, organizational, and computer skills are required.
