Job Description
This RN position in the Thoracic Surgery department supports outpatient care, working collaboratively to provide scheduled and emergent surgical patient care.
Provides patient-centered nursing support, including assessment, education, advocacy, and care planning.
Performs triage, coordinates referrals, manages care transitions, and supports self-management and health literacy.
Assists with documentation, regulatory compliance, and interdisciplinary communication.
Works with physicians, families, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care.
Requires HS diploma, RN license, CPR certification, and preferred experience in outpatient settings. Skills include communication, computer proficiency, medication administration, and adaptability.
The role involves direct patient care, teamwork, and maintaining safety and confidentiality.
