Job Description
This RN – Ambulatory position supports Pediatric Pulmonology, Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, and Nephrology divisions.
Provides direct patient care, triage, assessment, and care planning under physician/APP supervision.
Records vital signs, patient history, and performs physical assessments.
Administers medications and assists with in-office procedures.
Reviews test results, manages patient requests, and facilitates follow-up calls.
Utilizes resources to meet patient outcomes and quality metrics.
Delegates tasks to LPNs and MAs as appropriate.
Ensures compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
Educates patients and staff, maintains ongoing education, and documents in EHR.
Minimum requirements include an RN license, CPR certification, and 1-3 years pediatric or ambulatory experience preferred. Strong communication, computer, and medication skills are essential. This role may involve access to sensitive information and requires adherence to privacy standards.
