Job Description
Under supervision of physicians or advanced practice providers, the RN in General Surgery/Trauma provides direct patient care, triage, assessment, and care planning.
Obtain and document vital signs, patient history, and physical assessments.
Administer medications and participate in in-office procedures, documenting results in EHR.
Review test results, handle patient requests, and facilitate call-backs.
Utilize resources to meet patient outcomes and quality metrics.
Delegate tasks appropriately to LPNs and MAs.
Follow regulatory and compliance policies, including staff orientation and ongoing education.
Educate patients on health and wellness topics.
This role requires teamwork, adherence to privacy regulations, and a focus on quality patient care.
