Job Description
This PRN position involves administering aerosol therapy, chest physical therapy, and oximetry evaluations to non-critical patients, along with performing Basic Life Support activities.
Teaches and demonstrates respiratory care activities to patients and their families.
Cleans, assembles, sets up, and maintains equipment and supplies.
Performs non-invasive respiratory procedures under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist.
Requires current enrollment in an AMA-approved respiratory care program with at least one semester completed, maintaining active student status and providing a recommendation letter.
Completion of a student respiratory floor therapy rotation is required.
No licensure required by law; BLS certification is mandatory, with ACLS required within 60 days of hire or after the second semester.
Must actively practice and maintain respiratory care competencies.
