Job Description
The Student Respiratory Services role provides students with clinical shadowing opportunities to gain feedback from professionals, build competency, and transition into a respiratory therapist role.
Responsible for respiratory care under supervision, ensuring patient safety and adherence to guidelines and policies.
Promotes a positive, team-focused work environment through effective communication and collaboration.
Performs direct patient care, treatments, and education, advocating for patient privacy and safety.
Organizes work, reports observations, and participates in safety initiatives to improve quality and safety.
Assists with staffing needs, manages time effectively, and seeks ongoing learning opportunities.
Demonstrates professionalism, strong communication skills, adaptability, and teamwork.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent, enrollment in a respiratory program, clinical rotation completion, BLS certification, and state licensure within six months.
