Job Description
This position involves providing professional post-anesthesia nursing care for a diverse patient population, utilizing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation skills.
Supervises and guides PACU or pre-operative staff and may make decisions in absence of managers.
Requirements include graduation from an NLN-accredited nursing program, current RN licensure, BLS certification (within 2 weeks), and ACLS/PALS within 6 months.
Skills needed are effective communication, teamwork, professional standards adherence, and willingness for ongoing education.
Preferred experience in PACU, ambulatory, critical care, or general nursing.
Supervised by the Manager of Surgical Services.
The environment involves bloodborne pathogen precautions, physical demands such as lifting, standing, and working with equipment, and exposure to potential hazards.
The role may require irregular hours and extended shifts based on surgical schedules.
