Job Summary:
The Level II Competent Registered Nurse provides comprehensive, patient-centered care, collaborating with the healthcare team to improve quality by applying evidence-based practice. They are responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate nursing care and oversee team members to achieve patient outcomes.
Engage patients and families in care and discharge planning.
Communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
Support standards of excellence and participate in quality and performance improvement.
Contribute to staff orientation and policy development.
Participate in daily operational activities for safety and quality.
Provide input on unit needs and serve on committees.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN experience.
Valid RN license from Virginia or reciprocal state.
BSN preferred; Associate’s Degree nurses must obtain BSN within five years.
AHA BLS CPR required at hire.
ONS/ONCC certification required within one year.
