Job Summary: The Level II Competent Registered Nurse provides comprehensive, patient-centered care by collaborating with the healthcare team and applying evidence-based practices. They are responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for an assigned group of patients. The nurse oversees licensed and unlicensed staff, coordinates patient and family education, and participates in quality improvement and policy development.

  • Practices according to professional, structural, transformational, and innovation standards.
  • Participates in orientation, performance improvement, and hospital committees.
  • Communicates effectively with team members and assists in discharge planning.
  • Qualifications include an accredited nursing degree, valid RN license, BLS certification, and ONS/ONCC certification within a year. BSN preferred; ADN nurses must obtain a BSN within five years.
