Job Summary: The Level II Competent Registered Nurse provides patient-centered care, collaborating with the healthcare team to improve quality by applying evidence-based practice. Responsible for total care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while overseeing licensed and unlicensed staff.

Practice Standards include exemplary professionalism, structural empowerment, transformational leadership, and innovation.

Essential functions involve coordinating nursing care, patient and family involvement, communication, quality improvement, staff orientation, policy adherence, and participating in committees.

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program, valid RN license (Virginia or reciprocal), BSN preferred, BLS required at hire, ACLS within 6 months, and NIHSS within 90 days. External temporary RNs must meet specific certification requirements based on job profile.
