Registered Nurse (RN), Float Pool

Job Description

Provides direct patient care using the nursing process, ensuring quality and standards of practice.
Performs House Supervisor duties as needed to meet facility needs.
Reports to the Executive Director of Nursing Operations.
Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
License: Current RN license in TX.
Certifications: BCLS; ACLS & PALS per unit requirements.
Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in stressful environments.
Essential functions include medication administration, specimen collection, documentation, patient monitoring, and assisting with daily activities.
Collaborates across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge, and support needs.
Provides patient/family education and advocates for patient well-being.
Supervises staffing, trains staff, and ensures compliance with policies.
Leads issue resolution and maintains quality of care.
Performs other duties as assigned.
