Registered Nurse (RN), Float Pool

Job Description

Provides direct patient care using the nursing process, including medication administration, treatments, and documentation.
Performs House Supervisor duties as needed to support facility operations.
Reports to the Executive Director of Nursing Operations.
Requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), current RN license in TX, and certifications like BCLS, ACLS, PALS (per unit).
Must demonstrate critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in stressful environments.
Collaborates across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge, and psychosocial support.
Evaluates and educates patients and families, advocating for their well-being.
Supervises staffing, provides staff training, and performs performance evaluations.
Ensures quality care, staff compliance, and handles complex issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
