Job Description
The RN Emergency provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with professional standards.
Reports to the Emergency Department Director and is non-exempt under FLSA.
Requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), current RN license in Texas, and certifications in ACLS, BCLS, PALS, and NIHSS within 90 days of hire.
Must possess critical thinking, decisive judgment, computer proficiency, and ability to work independently in a stressful environment.
Performs interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments, while documenting care accurately.
Monitors and communicates patient conditions, assists with activities of daily living, and collaborates across disciplines for comprehensive care.
Provides patient and family education, advocates for patient well-being, and supports emotional and physical health needs.
