Job Description
The Medical Imaging (Radiology) RN Clinician provides pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care for radiology patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Reports to the Manager of Vascular and Cardiology Services and indirectly to the Interventional Radiology Team Leader.
Assesses patient condition, recognizes abnormalities, and develops individualized care plans, including patient education and discharge planning.
Administers moderate sedation and medications, monitors cardiac status, and delegates tasks appropriately.
Participates in quality improvement, policy updates, departmental education, and operational duties to enhance patient care and department efficiency.
Provides educational resources, assesses patient understanding, and supports lifestyle modifications.
Accepts on-call responsibilities and ensures compliance with licensing and certification requirements.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of critical care experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in cardiac monitoring and IV therapy.
