Job Description
Summary:
Organizes and conducts physical therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability due to disease, injury, or loss of a body part. Plans therapy using exercises, massage, and various equipment, while evaluating and reporting on patient progress.
Responsibilities:
Interprets and implements physician prescriptions per practice guidelines.
Supervises and instructs physical therapy assistants, support staff, and students.
Contributes to performance evaluations of assistants and support staff.
Ensures confidentiality and safety of patients and staff.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Knowledge of the APTA Code of Ethics.
Excellent communication skills.
New graduates accepted; experience preferred.
Current Texas Physical Therapy license and CPR certification required.
