Job Description
This Inpatient Phlebotomist role involves performing blood draws on patients of all ages with a focus on patient care and communication.

Collaborates with hospital staff, physicians, and laboratory personnel to ensure optimal patient care.
Maintains safety regulations and laboratory policies while accurately identifying patients and labeling specimens.
Performs phlebotomy, newborn screening, urine drug screens, and assists in other lab areas as needed.
Requires high school diploma, phlebotomy training or experience, and good interpersonal skills; certification preferred.
Utilizes computer systems for specimen collection and documentation, ensuring specimen integrity and proper procedures.
Handles physical demands such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds, with exposure to biological hazards.
Focuses on accuracy, efficiency, teamwork, and effective communication, with an emphasis on safety and quality improvement.
Maintains punctuality, adheres to hospital policies, and demonstrates motivation and professionalism in a supportive, inclusive environment.
