Job Description

Job Title: Spinning Lathe Operator

Position Summary: Responsible for setting up and operating spinning lathes to create shaped articles from sheet or plate metal, utilizing blueprints and knowledge of metal properties.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate spinning lathe according to specifications.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Attach spinning chuck to headstock spindle and follow block to tailstock.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with spinning lathes and metalworking.
• Strong understanding of metal properties and machining techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
