Job Summary:
Conducts diagnostic ultrasound procedures and provides training to staff as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound exams, selecting appropriate transducer settings and utilizing devices for hard copy records.
• Utilizes PACS and Radiology Information System, recognizing equipment limitations and differentiating normal from pathological anatomy.
• Adapts techniques for enhanced visualization and collaborates with physicians for diagnostic reports.
• Calibrates ultrasound equipment and trains other sonographers as needed.
• Correlates patient history with procedures and stays updated on technological advancements.
• Fosters positive inter-departmental relationships.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum two years of post-graduate experience in specialty.
• Graduate from an accredited ultrasound training program.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.

Additional Requirements:

• Strong skills in customer service, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree.

Location: Wailuku Medical Offices, Hawaii
Hours: 1/week, Variable shifts, On-Call
Travel: 10%
