The Nurse Resident delivers and oversees clinically appropriate patient care for individuals or groups, aligning with the Department of Nursing’s philosophy, the organization’s mission, and the standards set by the American Nurses Association (ANA).
The Residency program spans 12 months, featuring extended orientation, clinical experiences, and classroom instruction to support the transition to practice.

Fauquier Health is a 97-bed acute care hospital providing surgical services (including robotics), a 24-hour Emergency Department, advanced medical imaging, and an Intensive Care Unit, among other services. Our system includes specialties like Orthopedics, a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and robotic-assisted surgery, with the fourth floor dedicated to our Family Birthing Center and Intermediate Care Nursery.

X Basic Life Support (BLS) – Obtainable during the first week of orientation
X Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required within 6 months of hire
X NIHSS – Required within 6 months of hire
Minimum Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Virginia RN license accepted as proof of completion)
