EchoStar is seeking a Sr Manager for Satellite Terminal Hardware Design in our Hughes Network Systems division, based in Germantown, Maryland. Join us in developing powerful satellite and terrestrial IP-based communication systems to provide global broadband connectivity.
Responsibilities:
Manage technical development and project management for user terminal solutions.
Lead a multi-functional engineering team to integrate hardware, software, and network technologies.
Establish objectives, schedules, and budgets for effective project execution.
Oversee all project phases from concept to delivery.
Coordinate across corporate functions and serve as the technical customer interface.
Ensure timely and cost-effective completion of contractual commitments.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
10+ years in hardware development for satellite and terrestrial systems.
5+ years leading cross-functional engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Knowledge of baseband, RF, antenna, and electronic packaging technologies.
Project management experience, preferably with PMP training.
