Sr Production Operator

Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Responsible for a variety of tasks on the production floor, ensuring completion of machine operation, packaging, material handling, and shipping as needed.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates with limited supervision, applying production knowledge to diverse tasks.
• Handles moderately difficult assignments requiring judgment for issue resolution.
• Conducts packaging and batch-making functions.
• Prepares production per current procedures and guidelines.
• Monitors operations and material availability.
• Interacts with PLC and PC applications for line operation.
• Performs equipment troubleshooting and minor maintenance.
• Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and maintains documentation.
• Participates in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Loads/unloads materials using forklifts safely.
• May assist Production Operators and escalate issues as needed.
• Stays updated on process changes and assists with projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 2-4 years of related production experience.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Computer skills and data entry experience.
