LPN – Clinic II (Meds)

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and following Practitioner medical orders, provides direct and indirect nursing care in an outpatient setting.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepares and reviews medical records, identifies patient needs, and documents observations.
• Implements nursing procedures, administers treatments and medications, and performs point-of-care testing.
• Documents care interventions and collaborates with RN/Practitioner to adjust care plans as necessary.
• Efficiently handles emergency situations and assigns tasks to unlicensed personnel.
• Manages patient vaccine data and ensures compliance with immunization guidelines.
• Trains staff on vaccine storage and maintains inventory control.
• Participates in orientation and maintains supplies and patient scheduling.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• N/A
• Education: LPN licensure from a Hawaii State Board of Nursing approved program.
• License: Licensed Practical Nurse (Hawaii) required at hire.
• Certification: Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.

Additional Requirements:

• Strong skills in conflict resolution, customer service, and communication.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Mathematical skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous nursing and clinic experience.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Primary Location: Hawaii, Hilo, Hilo Medical Offices
Hours Per Week: 1
Shift: Day
Workdays: Mon-Fri
Job Schedule: Call-in/On-Call
Employee Status: Regular
Travel: Yes, 50% of the Time
