Who are UPS Vehicle Shifters?
They are drivers responsible for moving trailers around UPS facilities for unloading, repositioning, and loading. In some locations, they also transport trailers off property and excel at backing trailers to bay doors.
SHIFT YOUR SKILLS
What does it take to be a vehicle shifter?
- Ability to operate a powered industrial truck (PIT) or tractor trailer
- Safe trailer backing skills
- Valid drivers licenseCDL required
- Pass the DOT physical
- Strong driving skills and record
- Reliable and responsible
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
