Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and following Practitioner medical orders, provides direct and indirect nursing care in an outpatient setting.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepares and reviews medical records, identifies patient needs, and documents observations.
• Implements nursing procedures, administers treatments and medications, and performs point-of-care testing.
• Documents care interventions and collaborates with RN/Practitioner to adjust care plans as necessary.
• Efficiently manages emergency situations and assigns tasks to unlicensed personnel.
• Follows discharge plans and manages patient vaccine data, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
• Trains staff on vaccine storage and maintains inventory control.
• Participates in infection control and provides patient education.
• Maintains supplies and schedules patient appointments.
• OHS only: Certification in Spirometry, Hearing Conservation, & Substance Abuse Specimen Collection required within one year.
• Demonstrates culturally sensitive care and performs additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• N/A

Education:

• Hawaii State Board of Nursing approved curriculum for LPN licensure.

License, Certification, Registration:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (Hawaii) required at hire.
• Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.

Additional Requirements:

• Strong skills in conflict resolution, customer service, and communication.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Mathematical skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous nursing and clinic experience.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Workdays: Mon-Fri
Working Hours: 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM
