Job Summary
Responsible for developing and delivering services focused on the orientation, ongoing education, and evaluation of clinical staff. Acts as a key resource for the Critical Care Director and team.

Essential Functions
- Collaborates with leadership and staff to identify learning needs and competencies.
- Designs and evaluates educational activities related to clinical competencies and regulatory standards.
- Mentors staff in program development and professional growth, providing feedback to leadership.
- Assists in coordinating new staff orientation and educational initiatives.
- Supports the Nursing Director.
- Develops policies for critical care patient management.
- Promotes optimal patient outcomes and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinates continuing education on new procedures and equipment.
- Provides constructive feedback and coaching to staff.
- Utilizes effective strategies to guide others toward achieving goals.
- Embraces change and seeks new methods to enhance work processes.
- Strives for improved clinical outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborates effectively with team members.
- Participates in Shared Governance and process improvement committees.
- Serves as a role model in clinical practice.
- Incorporates evidence-based practices into education.
- Encourages staff involvement in Critical Care Journal clubs.

Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Licenses
Current RN license valid in NC.
Minimum Work Experience
Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a high-stress environment. Must have experience caring for critical care patients with various conditions and treatments.
