The Registered Nurse delivers and oversees clinically appropriate patient care for individuals or groups, aligning with the Department of Nursing’s philosophy and the standards set by the American Nurses Association (ANA).

Fauquier Health is a 97-bed acute care hospital featuring surgical services (including robotics), a 24-hour Emergency Department, advanced medical imaging, and an Intensive Care Unit. We offer specialty services in Orthopedics, Cardiac Catheterization, and robotic-assisted surgery, with a dedicated Family Birthing Center on the fourth floor.

    • Minimum Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

    Required Skills:

    Licenses: Current Virginia State RN License.

    Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – can be obtained during orientation
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required for ED and inpatient units (new grads have 6 months to obtain)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required for ED and PACU (new grads have 6 months to obtain)

    • Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a stressful environment are essential.

    Minimum Work Experience:

    Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse. Preferred: 2 years of nursing experience.
