Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) – Full Time
Sign-on Bonus: $20,000 Eligible
Position Summary:
- Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process in line with practice standards.
- Implement care plans, including medication administration and clinical treatments.
- Document all patient care activities.
- Monitor and communicate patient conditions to the care team and family.
- Identify changes in patient status and prioritize urgent issues.
- Assist patients with daily living activities.
- Collaborate across disciplines for coordinated patient care.
- Assess and educate patients and families based on their needs.
- Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well-being.
- Maintain AORN standards and assist surgeons as needed.
- Monitor sterile fields and report any breaches.
- Accurately document variances and perform pre-op/post-op counts.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Current RN license in Virginia or compact state.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Preferred experience in an acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication related to nursing practice.
- Ability to coordinate and delegate nursing care.
- Cognitive and practical skills to provide age-appropriate care.
